Mirror box spells are one of the most ordered personal spellworks here at Crossroads. One of the things that people appreciate most is that it is a balanced protection spell assuring that if the person you target is not sending you any bad energy, they will have no ill effects. If they try to send you negative energy, it comes right back to them.
People are forever concerned about “karmic flashback” and other theories that if we use magic to protect ourselves, we will suffer some kind of negative consequences. There is reason to consider this. If a person kills or injures someone else in self-defense, our system of justice and make their life a living hell even if they are innocent. It makes sense that folks would apply the same concerns to magical/energetic defenses, especially when for many people, the use of magic to achieve a goal is suspect anyway.
Within my own personal belief, I feel I have a right to defend myself if someone attempts to harm me or my loved ones. In my professional life, it is my job to support the beliefs and concerns of my clients. Mirror boxes are a wonderful way to protect yourself without causing any more harm to someone than they intended for you.
In the above photo, the mirror box is in the back left and a binding is underway in the right front. The baby acts as an effigy for the person of interest. We lock the effigy in the mirror box which serves two purposes:
The mirrors reflect their energy back to them without harming the person who put them in the mirror box or had me put them in the mirror box.
The mirrors force the person of interest to contemplate what they have done and the energy they are putting into the world.
This is the ultimate “Go to your room and think about what you have done” spell
The binding, if a person decides to go in that direction, immerses the effigy in banishing herbs to banish their influence, crushed red pepper flakes, goofer dust, rattlesnake venom, and banishing oil.
I then shake the vessel and wrap it securely with Gorilla Tape.
I then place the entire container in a cool, dark place where it will not be disturbed.
One of the questions I am most asked is if the binding or mirror box is permanent. The answer is no because all magic has an expiration date. There is literally no permanent magical work. How long the effect last depends on how hard they are resisting the process. Some people who are aggressively attempting to harm my client my need multiple bindings or mirror boxes before they give up and go their own way.
The above mirror box combines the mirror box and the binding into one process. The ghoul holds the effigy in place to bind it and the mirror is right in the effigy’s face when I close the lid.
