Crossroads first opened its doors to the public on March 29, 2019 and little did we realize what awaited us with that path. We found a loving, wonderful community with friendships that will last a lifetime. We never, ever imagined that before the store closed in October 2022, we would go through the absolute heights of joy and depths of despair, weather a raging pandemic, move to a new home, go through multiple surgeries, expand twice, and graduate out more than thirty Master Healers and more than fifty Reiki healers into the world.
Although our physical doors closed, Crossroads Occult continues its practice online, still offering cleansings, spell work, readings, and our wonderful magical products by remote and mail order at www.crossroadsoccult.com.
To celebrate the anniversary of our opening, I thought you might enjoy seeing some of the photos from the birth of Crossroads:
From those meager beginnings to this:
I am proud to say that Crossroads was hands down, the most beautiful metaphysical store I have ever seen. My heart was full every time I walked in the door and Eric and I are so blessed to have brought this energy to the world. It was a long way from our tiny, rustic store we had in Roseville for almost four years. Crossroads remains a hallmark of my life.
Now, in addition to lots of client work, I also spend a great deal of time editing Green Egg Magazine with my co-editor, Samm, and writing for the Green Egg Blog. I just debuted two new columns over there, in addition to Witch At The Crossroads and Ask a Witch. Now, each week I write Stone Magic and Herbalism For Your Day. I never knew I had so many words in me! It has been fun to explore the magical uses for different stones and herbs.
I still offer a class every month, two readings a week, a weekly pep talk, and tons of shared columns on my Patreon page ($22 a month). That has been fun as well.
This is our back yard yesterday between the ongoing cloudbursts. We’ve been blessed with good rains lately and more to come. I love the rain. I love the sun. I love the many twists and turns life took getting us to where we were meant to be. When I think about it, I don’t even know how we got from there to here. The further back I go in my life, the more unlikely it seems that I would ever end up where I am. And yet, here we are.
Thank you to all of our wonderful clients who have stayed with us during this transition from Roseville to Shingle Springs and ultimately, to online work. You are a blessing to us and we look forward to continuing to serve your metaphysical needs.
